Pulling up to the Ultimate Fighting Champion’s digs in the bucolic city of San Luis Obispo on California’s Central Coast, it’s hard not to miss the Lamborghini Gallardo sitting in Chuck Liddell’s driveway, along with a decked-out Hummer H2, and an all-business-looking F-150 four-wheel-drive pickup. |

The H2, tricked out for him by the UFC, seems an appropriate statement for a man with his imposing presence. While the H2, with a 325-hp 6.0-liter V-8, has well-proven off-road lineage, this four-wheel driver has been gentrified with 25-inch street wheels and tires, and its mission is no longer off the beaten path. It’s strictly a street ride now. |

When asked what car he’s most like, Liddell says, “I’m a high-end athlete in an explosive sport. It’s what our sport is. You have to be able to explode ... be able to jump on it when it’s time. I have to be explosive. I’m like a Ferrari.” And it’s no surprise that a Ferrari—an F430 Spider to be exact—is Liddell’s new favorite ride. |
